Use Case Templates and Tools

These templates are designed to enable projects to document their functional requirements as Use Cases using only familiar Office software.

A Use Case is a structured text describing a generalized story or 'scenario' of how a system is to be used.

Use Cases are also applied

• at low level to define the operation of a system/software component
• at high level to define a business process that might later be partly automated.

Scenario Plus provides Templates for several styles of Use Case broadly as described by Alistair Cockburn.

A DXL toolkit provides the same range of styles for the DOORS requirements tool.
